Tru Blue Project Perth and Bundamba
We designed and built a custom refrigeration MCC for the TRUBLUE company via the GBI guys, one at the Bundamba site and nearly a carbon copy over in perth. Wayne, Xavier and Craig were onsite to install the MCC and wire the plant.
Thanks to the GBI team.

SOLOMON ISLANDS
Xavier and Glenn went to the Solomon Islands. And no the white dude in this photo is neither one of them. They did not get to dance in loin clothes nor were they able to get themselves silly drinking the locally brewed spit flavoured kava.
The humidity was terrible but they soldiered on. I suppose there is absolutely nowhere to run but the sea or the pacific. And there may only have one flight out of the place booked in advance by locals.
But thank god mobile reception was great as it was better than the Vodaphone network.
They are back in Brisbane now. A big thank you to Damian.

SAKHALIN ISLAND RUSSIA
Craig went to Sakhalin via South Korea. Somehow he managed to find a last minute accomodation in Incheon International Airport by waiving his hands around. He tried looking for the golden arches for Mr. Big Mac but found himself sitting trying kimchi. Apparently.... his words.
He almost fitted into aeroflot and hoped for the best when he realised the chairs may not have been bolted to the floor.
Where is Sakhalin? Tucked in between the Russian mainland, Japan, and Sakhalin Island is the island of Moneron. Named after a French seafarer who discovered it, it is described as the pride of the Sakhalin region.
Until 2004, the island was completely restricted to visitors. Now this picturesque place is open to tourists.
While some go to the Sakhalin region to enjoy the sights, others convert the island’s natural riches into a healthy dollar. It is home to the biggest seafood processing factory in Russia – the Tunaicha. A good fishing season can bring the enterprise’s owner more than a hundred million dollars net profit.
They fixed the fish processing plant. They tried a lot of male bonding exercises in between working like joining the Russians in their Banya while hitting themselves with branches of birches. Oh and apparently someone tried to dance with the long legged darlings in a bar while perhaps drunk in local vodka. He may not have realised that the darlings belong to the local mafia harem. Do not be alarmed no electricians were lost or harmed in the line of duty.

Xstrata St George Fisher Mine Mt Isa
Wayne went to Mt Isa with Greg's boys. When people say "fun under the sun" they are lying to you because they have forgotten to mention location, humidity and transportable accomodation unit.
They call it dongas. Why? Don't know it is one of those Australianism's and if we Australians call it donga just accept that it means movable luxurious units and move on have a beer. But as Xstrata is a multibillion mining company, the site came with first class tucker better than Qantas Neil Perry's fancy catered cuisine.
Wayne and the boys sweated it out for weeks under the Mt Isa sun. Thank you to John and team from CMQ engineering.
